Desktop Calendar

Desktop Calendar

I’ve been searching, for what seems like forever, to find a decent Windows Desktop Calendar to try and get myself a bit more oganized!

There’s a big smile on my face at the moment because I managed to find such a thing about 20 mins ago and……it’s FREE!!!

Had to share this..

Desktop Calendar for Windows

So the Desktop Calendar is called, wait for it, ‘Desktop Calendar’, and you can download it, for FREE, here…

So, how does it work?

After you download it, run the calendar and then enter the ‘Settings’ menu by clicking on the down arrow (top right-hand corner of the Calendar) and then selecting ‘Settings’.

The ‘Settings’ menu looks like the:

If you then take a few moments to play around with the different options, you should find a Calendar display that works for you.

Once you have the Calendar on your Desktop, you can simply click on a date to edit the information shown. Then when you’re finished, just click away from that date and the information is saved automatically.

A neat little feature is the color palette which is available when you click on a date and allows you to color code different days or groups of days. For instance, I’ve color coded my Wed Admin Day Green!

Just want it to stand out a bit from the crowd…

Windows Desktop CalendarCalendar – Edit Date Information

This Calendar is simple but it also does what is required and is amazingly FREE!!

Check it Out HERE…

Last Tip for today…When you get the shortcut on your Windows Desktop, right-click on that link and select ‘Pin to Taskbar’.  Now, get rid of that shortcut and everytime you want the Calendar up, goto the Taskbar (normally at the bottom of your screen) and click on the Calendar icon (blue squares).

Over to you…

Have you tried this Free Calendar, what did you think?

Does this sort of thing help you stay more organized?

Any other suggestions for Desktop Calendars or Organizing Software?

Cheers

Jon

I can’t remember what it was called, but I used to have something like this and LOVED IT! It started getting all weird when I updated windows and since then I have had to uninstall it. Thanks for the heads up on this! Going to install it right now!

What a great find! This is something I’ve been looking for for my elderly parents….I’ve been wanting to find that will be able to remind them of various appointments, events and such. Besides me calling them, as they don’t always want to answer phone calls and/or texts.:/ Hopefully this will help a little. Thanks for sharing this, I’ll be heading over later and setting this up for them.

How often do we find something this useful that’s free?

Hope your parents can make some good use of it, but it’s best to keep calling them or you’ll never hear the last of it 🙂

      Cheers
