If you’ve ever been the position where you’ve had too many priorities that some of the more pleasant things, like writing for your blog, have suffered for a few weeks, then you’ll know how frustrating it can be?

What’s worse is that the longer you leave it, the harder it can seem to get back into the swing of things. I like to call it getting back on the horse!

So here I am, it’s been a little while since my last blog post because everything else seems to be getting in the way. And that reminds me, in quite a harsh way, about the post I wrote about pre-loading your material to care of situations just like this one.

I need to take some of my own medicine and sort this one out!fingers crossed

That’s enough about me, almost!

The main purpose of this post is to get over a message that no matter what happens in your life and how long you have ‘paused’ your routine, when the time is right you’ll be drawn back to the things you really enjoy doing. In this case it’s sharing my experiences with like minded people.

So how will you know when the time is right?

In a man’s brain (please don’t ask me to describe how a women’s brain works!) we prioritize according to the importance of the task at hand, well sometimes anyway…
Recently, I’ve found that the bigger priorities have been shouting a lot louder that some of the other things I happen to enjoy more, nonetheless they’ve still been louder.

In the back of my mind my blog was still evident but it was only whispering!

Men in white coats time? I hope not.

Forwarding time and the ‘bigger’ priorities have mostly been dealt with and the ‘joy’ has started to return again. That’s when this blog got a louder voice and I found myself getting drawn back to it, strongly!

But what if it’s been too long, is it worth it?

Absolutely. If I had taken my own advice then this wouldn’t have been a problem and I would have had ‘back-up’ material lined up to take care of ‘situations’ but either way, don’t worry about the past, look towards the future.

That’s one thing we can change. Right, back to work…

What I like to do is two things to combat this because the hardest thing about blogging/writing is starting. You have to get out of your own way, so incoporating meditation and ritual will allow your mind to stop thinking about stuff other than the task at hand.

Interesting point Will. Clearing your mind is definately the way forward when becoming focused on any task, and especially Internet Marketing tasks!

If my mind is feeling too cluttered I tend to listen to something called ‘Binaural Beats’! Well worth doing a search for these (try some of the free ones on YouTube?).

        Hi Tasleem,

I know exactly what you mean, recently for me there has been many things just round the corner that have tripped me up and delayed my work with PTS!

I think the important thing though is to leave the past where it is and when we get the chance to continue, grab that opportunity with both hands.

That’s a great article on ‘Shiny Object Syndrome’ by the way, how many of us have been guilty of that?

Hi Nigel (& Richard), it’s been one of those years for me and looks like we’ll be moving home soon as well so more ‘distractions’!

Week 25 for me but determined to catch up fast…

It sure will feel good to get this product created!

Hi Jon, I’ve been in a similar position over the last few weeks, what with holiday and other things getting in the way. My blog and the P2S program in particular is now shouting very loudly:-)
